Are YOU racist against soda drinkers?

Man, this made me crack up. Concerning the "soda tax", proposed by NY Governor David Paterson:

“There’s plenty of ways to raise money without hurting people who drink soda,” said Nelson Cross, 31, who emerged from Papa’s Fried Chicken in East New York, Brooklyn, with a box of takeout and a bottle of Pepsi. (He said he was concerned that the tax would diminish soda sales at a bar that his father owns.)

Eddie Velez, 56, who has driven a truck for a beverage distributor for 15 years, said he was not concerned because “soda always sells.” And Jenny Li, 19, an employee at Golden China, a takeout restaurant where customers receive a free can of soda with purchases over $10, said the restaurant had no intention of stopping that practice if the tax is imposed.
